Watch-Movies.net

posted by Silent D.

UPDATE 1/09/09 | It seems that the conspiracy rumors that ISP’s struck a deal to block the domain for watch-movies.net may have been true. The site is still up and is now (http://watch-movies-links.net)

I got the Internet back on! Shaweet! So, I got home this morning and couldn’t sleep. I then decided to watch a movie online. Now, my favorite free movie site to go to is Watch-Movies.net which I frequent quite a bit. And as I typed in the url and clicked enter, I got a “Page Load Error” stating that the address can’t be found. For a second I thought my Internet went down again and I was pissed. But I started browsing and everything was o.k. and a sense of relief that I didn’t have to deal with the AT&T assholes again came over me. However, I still couldn’t access the site and automatically my thoughts went to fear that it had been shut down and that fear then turned and I was angry once more. So I did some searching and found this link stating that last month a lawsuit was brought up against Watch-Movies.net (click here for the link). So my fears have practically been confirmed that the site must have shut down. All I have to say is Fuck Paramount and Warner Bros! Damn you to hell!

The Return!

posted by Silent D.

We’re Baaaaaaack! Ok, not really! Figured I would “Takeover” the website to post random stuff and update you all on what we’re doing. My Internet is been down for a few days and while I was at my friends house using his Internet I found a video on YouTube that made me laugh so hard. It was “I can’t breathe” type of laughter. The video is from the VH1 show Mission: Man Band which is about ex-boy band members trying to make a new band. Pure Comedy!

The Takeover - S03E14 - The Final Show - (ep69)

The final show :(

The entire cast was in the studio, and while it made for some awkwardness (I mean we’re breaking up for a reason, right?) it was still great for the fans to have everyone there. The chat room was packed, and we had call-ins from Tha Mike, Hex of Nerdapalooza, Masurao of Krondor Krew, and more! Strangely enough, our scheduled guests no showed on us :P But that was okay, we made due, brought up the good times, and the not so good times, played a lot of good music, and said goodbye.

Thank you all for tuning into the chaos that was The Takeover. We hope you loved every minute of it, I know we did.

The 24 Hour Takeover - RP 5 (Last Hour with Logan Gola)

posted by Silent D.

Standard Podcast [74:32m]: Play Now | Play in Popup | Download

This is the last hour of the 24 Hour Takeover where we are waiting for our last interview with Logan Gola of Blow Energy Drink. We started doing a mock interview where DP acted as Logan Gola mainly because we were bored and we wanted to go home. During that, we got a call from the man himself. Also, I just recently noticed that they took down the Blow Energy Drink website. Lol. I guess the man won this battle!

Sorry for taking so long in putting this up but because many of the cd’s were destroyed I wasn’t able to put it up but I actually found this in my iPod Hard Drive with a bunch of archived shows which I just recently uploaded. The shows date back to our first semester. Some of the shows from the first semester are missing due to the fact that they were never recorded or lost or the shows needed to be forgotten for several reasons ;). Enjoy!

Remember, OUR LAST SHOW - DECEMBER 7th, 2008

This Saturday Night in SoCal

posted by The Dark Prince

TONS of stuff going on Saturday night if you’re living in the SoCal area! I’ve caught a cold again this week, which is the third time in less than two months, so I’m doubtful for anything, but just because I’m stuck home in bed, don’t let that keep you from going out.

No, really, it’s cool, I understand, go ahead, have some fun. I’ve got my Lara Croft and tea with brandy, so I’m chill.

Club Suicide This Saturday Night

Club Suicide is going down again this Saturday! (God, will I ever get to go to one of these?) This time the Girls (15 of them, to be exact) will be signing copies of the official SG hardcover coffee table book, promised to be filled with 396 pages of sexy nakedness. (Do SG girls dig guys with colds, ’cause I got that goin’ on, so maybe I can go after all). Our very good friend Atlas Suicide promises to be there, pen in hand, so stop by Saturday night at the Dragonfly in West Hollywood!

Folktastik Warpzone

IllGill seems to be something of a rousing success as a club promoter, having just gotten his Warpzone in 944 Magazine. This Saturday night, the Warpzone presents Folktastik Kerstmisch, featuring a half dozen acoustic acts, such as Instead of Hearts (who I’ve been dying to see for over a year) Josh Crampton of Luna is Honey, Ilo Mar, Dana & Stripes, Traildriver, and Paloma. 944 cites the Warpzone as the next big underground thing, so you should probably start going before all the lame posers find out about it. I’ll actually be there in spirit, as the Warpzone streams every performance night live on the Internets via Stickam, so out-of-towners take note. The fun starts at 9:00 PM in West Hollywood, B.Y.O.B.!

Like I said, there’s a ton of stuff going on for some reason all on Saturday. My Elysian, Young Buck, and Girl in a Coma are all playing SD that night, but I’ll most likely end up watching the Oscar De La Hoya vs. Manny Pacquaio fight, catching some of the Warpzone feed, and watching Lara Croft smack her ass some. Not a bad night, but I still wish I could go out :(

P.S. Check out my Eventful.com Profile and add me if you really want to keep up to date with what’s going on in SoCal!

The Takeover - S03E13 - Purple Lights and Incense - (ep68)

The Takeover - S03E13 - Purple Lights and Incense [154:42m]: Play Now | Play in Popup | Download (1074)

NOTE: We had a lot of problems with the recording, so some small parts of the show have been cut, and for some reason the Hilary Duff “With Love” song that we end every show with starts 20 seconds or so after we stop talking, but I will definitely fix that later tonight if you need a proper mix for your archives :) EDIT: Fixed Hilary!

The second to last show! We had local MC Progress live in the studio for an interview and awesome performance while promoting his upcoming show with Murs in San Diego December 12. We also did a mini-interview with Epic-1 who talked about his new debut solo album Black Friday, had a call-in from Attack Slug, talked about the upcoming last Takeover show ever, got into our holiday weekends, and played a ton of great music!

Remember, December 7, 2008, is OUR LAST SHOW EVER! We air from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM PST that night, and if everyone can tune in live and fill the chat room, that would make the ending that much sweeter! We’ll have interviews with Entity of 8-Bit Boys, along with Captain Dan of the Scurvy Crew and Hex of Nerdapalooza, and Silent D. will be in the studio helping us remember the good times we had. Don’t miss it!

The Takeover - S03E12 - A Major Announcement - (ep67)

posted by The Dark Prince

 The Takeover - S03E12 - A Major Announcement [148:08m]: Play Now | Play in Popup | Download (1030)

This week on The Takeover, we made the major announcement that, after nearly three years, December 7 will be the final show ever. Unfortunately, we collectively are not able to fully commit to producing the show, and we feel that you as a listener deserve nothing less, so we have all decided that the show will sadly come to an end so that everyone can move forward to bigger and better things.

We have two more shows scheduled, with local San Diego MC artist Progress live in studio next week, and, December 7, our final interview will be with Entity of 8-Bit Boys. We hope you’ll join us in saying goodbye to The Takeover, and help us remember the great times we’ve shared with you, all on these final shows. We thank each and every one of you for making these past three years the most fun and rewarding we’ve ever had!

Also on this episode, The Dark Prince announced that he will officially step down as ZeaLouS1’s manager, the San Diego Chargers battled the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday Night Football, a drunk Mrs. Takeover called in live from a skybox at Qualcomm Stadium, Tony B. tried desperately to claim his free bottle of soda from the Dr. Pepper website during their Guns ‘N Roses free giveaway, and after the announcement was made, we took calls from ZombieK, Sir Up of Emergency Pizza Party, Kabutu the Python now of Scrub Club Records, and Tony B.’s Dani as they all gave their condolences to the loss of the show.
