Really guys, we are, we had technical difficulties once again while attempting to broadcast from Churchill’s Pub & Grille in San Marcos, CA. This time we came damn close to pulling it off, but in the end we just couldn’t get it going live for you. But, as promised, we did record the show, including the live performance by ZeaLouS1!
Our apologies to Raven Sorvino, who drove down all the way from LA to be on the bill, and who only got to perform a couple of songs at the tail end of the night. Unfortunately we weren’t able to record her performance, but we definitely recommend heading over to her MySpace and downloading her latest album, Real Fresh, completely free of charge. Really, it has the official Takeover stamp of approval, so you know it has to be awesome.

This Sunday Night, Live Halloween Show

The Takeover packs up the studio this Sunday night for a special, never before attempted (well, we did try that one time, but that doesn’t count) live remote broadcast of our Halloween show at Churchill’s Pub & Grille! This looks to be an exciting all-ages event, as it marks the first live remote broadcast of the Takeover, as well as it’s first full on-air performance (other than Z1’s classic weekly show-stopping freestyles, of course). KKSM AM 1320 Palomar College Radio and Subnation are also fully backing the live show, which means we’ve got a $50.00 cash prize for our Halloween costume contest, a box full of t-shirts, hats, CDs, and bags to give away, and to top it all off, LA hip-hop artist Raven Sorvino will be coming down for a live on-air performance.
Oh, yeah, ZeaLouS1 will also be performing ;P

The Takeover continues this Sunday night without a guest to interview, but that’s because ZeaLouS1 will be ending the show a little early so he can get across town to perform live at Churchill’s Pub & Grill! Jeeeeeeeezuuuuuuuusss Christ. NSE was . . . a lot. I would have had more fun if we left the day after Z1 performed . . . no, scratch that, I would have had more fun if we skipped the next day but stayed and went to a gator farm. I don’t know, that just sounded like a fun and relaxing time. Fun for the whole family!
Anyway, ZeaLouS1’s performance was incredible, his best that I’ve ever seen him do. Everyone and their mother was there, except for SD, whose absence is still a mystery as he even said it here on 247Takeover.com that he was leaving the very next day for Florida. Guess we’ll just have to wait and see what that was all about. In any case, here’s Z1 doing “Army of Nerdcore” the very first song of his set at NSE’08. Video: Nothing Else Matters - solo piano, Scott D. Davis

I love the piano. Tori Amos plays the piano. I love her. Therefor, I love the piano.
I like Metallica. Their music, not them, personally. If I have to read one more damn write-up about how they’re trying to hold onto their music like it was their first born while squeezing every dime out every note they play, I’m going to start hating them. As it is, I’m indifferent.
So all that segues into me telling you about this pianist Scott D. Davis that plays Metallica covers on the piano. And, he sounds really good, too. And, he wears leather pants while doing it. How metal is that? Scott released Pianotarium - Piano Tribute to Metallica last year, and he’ll be performing at PianoSD in San Diego on Sunday.
